Apache Ranger

In Self-Managed deployments, Ranger metrics is enabled by default. Privacera Ranger provides metrics to monitor the performance and health of the Ranger Admin service. These metrics offer valuable insights into the service's usage and performance, helping you proactively identify and troubleshoot issues.

You can disable ranger metrics as needed. For instructions on how to enable/disable ranger metrics, refer to Enable Ranger Metrics

PolicySync Connectors

Improved Handling of Rate-Limiting Errors

The Privacera Databricks SQL Analytics Connector now handles API rate limits more effectively when communicating with Databricks servers.

Upon exceeding the API call limit, the system enters a controlled sleep mode, adhering to specified or default wait times. This enhancement ensures compliance with rate limits, minimizes disruptions, and enhances overall system reliability.

Improved Date Handling in Event Bridge Connector

The Event Bridge Connector has been updated to support the createDate field in changelog events.

This update enables the conversion of the field from string format, epoch, or timestamp to the ISO 8601 string format (e.g., 2024-12-10T12:33:22.053Z). The default timezone is standardized to UTC, ensuring consistency across event data. This can be viewed under the Sync Activity Log of each connector.

Portal

Enhanced Role Mapping Interface

The LDAP Role Mapping menu is now renamed to SSO Role Mapping. Within the updated menu, the LDAP tab now consolidates all LDAP role mapping settings.

Introduces a new Discovery role, ROLE_DISCOVERY_SCAN

Provides full access to manage Data Zones, Data Sources, Tags, and Scan Status, with read-only access to Classification, Alerts, and Reviews.

Fixed Profile Visibility Issue in File Explorer

Resolved an issue that caused the file explorer to display only enabled profiles. The explorer now displays all profiles as expected.

Spark Plugin

Support for FGAC and OLAC in OSS

Added support for enabling both FGAC and OLAC spark plugins in the same OSS setup. This enhancement enables SQL and file-level access control for Delta, Parquet, and CSV file formats.
