Faster Trends on the Discovery Dashboard

The Trends section of the Discovery Dashboard now loads faster. It shows the first few tags right away, and you can select Show More Tags to load more. A count shows how many tags are displayed out of the total.

Metadata-Service (OMNI)

[Omni connector] New Omni connector for Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift & Lake Formation

[Omni connector] New Omni connector for Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift & Lake Formation

Added the new Omni connector so Privacera can discover metadata and govern access across multiple platforms — Databricks Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Lake Formation.

[Omni connector] MSK/Kafka integration → Lambda → connectors

[Omni connector] MSK/Kafka integration → Lambda → connectors

Added Event Ingestion for Omni connectors so resource-change events from Amazon MSK or Apache Kafka can drive connector updates through an AWS Lambda. Configure the plane (network, staging, auth) and per-connector opt-in, source, and topic in Runtime Manager, download the Lambda setup package, and deploy it in AWS. The Lambda consumes the topic and posts mapped events to the selected connectors (including Databricks Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL Analytics and Lake Formation). Kafka and MSK each use their own Lambda package and settings; host broker/cluster settings and connector source must align before the package can be downloaded.

PolicySync Connector

Databricks Unity Catalog - Fixed Access Policy Validity Period Enforcement

Databricks Unity Catalog - Fixed Access Policy Validity Period Enforcement

Fixed an issue where the configured Validity Period for an access policy was not enforced for the Databricks Unity Catalog connector. Access policies are now automatically applied when the configured validity period starts and revoked when the validity period expires.

Databricks Unity Catalog – Faster Permission Apply When Objects or Principals No Longer Exist

Databricks Unity Catalog – Faster Permission Apply When Objects or Principals No Longer Exist

Fixed an issue where grants and revokes on a table, schema, catalog or principal that no longer exists in Databricks were retried several times with a fixed wait. This slowed down permission apply for large policy updates.

Databricks Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL Analytics, and Lake Formation – Fixed Intermittent On-Demand Resource Sync Failure

Databricks Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL Analytics, and Lake Formation – Fixed Intermittent On-Demand Resource Sync Failure

Fixed an issue where on-demand resource syncs could fail when a policy update happened at the same time. This could leave permissions unapplied until the next sync. On-demand syncs are now resilient to concurrent policy updates, and sync errors now show the underlying error instead of null.
