• The PolicySync Connectors dashboard has been updated to offer a broader, more consistent view of key metrics across connectors. This ensures improved observability and monitoring.
• In addition, we have introduced new metrics in PolicySync Core to monitor queued jobs. These metrics help identify backlogs and processing delays early, supporting better system performance and troubleshooting.

Added Metrics for All Outgoing SDK API Calls from Lakeformation Connector¶

Enhanced Databricks Unity Catalog Connector to Grant Permissions Based on Configured Setup Type¶

Unity Catalog connector now grants permissions based on the configured setup type. Permissions will align with either the native or secure view setup, ensuring only the required access is applied to foreign and local catalogs.

Enhanced Databricks SQL Thread Pool Management to Prevent Stalls During Resource Loading¶

Enhanced thread pool management in Databricks SQL (DBX-SQL) multithreaded execution to prevent stalls during resource loading. This enhances overall performance and reliability, especially during concurrent operations.

A stall is a situation where a JDBC thread becomes unresponsive or takes an excessive amount of time to complete its operation.

Handled Missing Row Access Policy Errors Gracefully in Snowflake Connecetor¶

Enhanced error handling to gracefully manage missing row access policy errors, preventing unnecessary failures during policy application and improving system resilience.

Improved Spark Console Logging for Spark Plugin¶

Enhanced the Spark Plugin code to suppress redundant logging from appearing in the Spark console, resulting in cleaner and more relevant output during runtime.

Implemented a Ranger Context Store¶

Introduced a new centralized Ranger Context Store to manage and share Ranger service definitions across the application. Key components (e.g., Resource Policies, Audit, and Security Zones) have been refactored to use this new store for improved consistency and maintainability.

Known Issue: Security Zones List Not Displayed After Navigation or Zone Changes¶

In certain scenarios, the Security Zones list in the Portal may not be displayed correctly after navigating to the Security Zones page or performing actions such as creating, editing, or deleting a security zone. Instead of showing the existing zones, the page displays a "No Security Zones" message.

Workaround: Click the soft refresh button to reload the data. This action restores the visibility of the Security Zones list.
