Request Access
Concepts in Access Management

Submit a request for access to a datasource.
Request aacess based on a role
From the home page, click Access Management > My Access Requests.
On the My Access Requests page, click Actions > Request access through Role.
The Request New role dialog appears.
Add the request details.
Click Create.
The system sends a notification to the approver and logs an audit entry. You can check the status of a request in the audit log (Access Management > Audit > Admin).
Request access based on tags
From the home page, click Access Management > My Access Requests.
On the My Access Requests page, click Actions > Request access through Tag.
The Request New Tag dialog appears.
Enter the Reason, Tags Requested, and Validity Period (optional).
Click Create.
The system sends a notification to the approver and logs an audit entry. You can check the status of a request in the audit log (Access Management > Audit > Admin).
Request access based on an existing resource
Ask for access to folders and the contents of the folders.
From the Privacera homepage, expand the Access Management menu and click My Access Requests from the left menu.
On the My Access Requests page, click Actions > Request access through resource.
The Create Request page appears.
Select the resources you want to access.
Click Add Permissions.
Select permission(s) for the resources and click Confirm.
Click Continue.
On the Create Request page, enter the Reason, Application name, Bucket name, Resource Path, and Add Permission.
(Optional) Click Add Validity Period and configure the time frame for the access.
Click Request.
The system sends a notification to the approver and logs an audit entry. You can check the status of a request in the audit log (Access Management > Audit > Admin).
Request access based on a non-existing resource
Ask for access to empty folders that will hold data resources in the future.
From the Privacera homepage, expand the Access Management menu and click My Access Requests from the left menu.
On the My Access Requests page, click Actions > Request access through non-existing resource.
The Create Request page appears.
Select the resources you want to access.
Click Add Permissions.
Select permission(s) for the resources and click Confirm.
Click Continue.
(Optional) Click Add Validity Period and configure the time frame for the access.
On the Create Request page, enter the Reason, Application, Bucket, and Resource Path.
(Optional), click Add Permissions and configure the permissions you want.
Click Request.
The system sends a notification to the approver and logs an audit entry. You can check the status of a request in the audit log (Access Management > Audit > Admin).
