Overview#

Interface#

A setup wizard has been provided to guide you through the Privacera installation of its products and services.

To the left, the wizard provides you with a multi-level, clickable stepper that shows the configurations you've got to setup. And to the right, the wizard allows you to setup basic, advanced and custom properties for different Privacera services.

The wizard will allow you to install Privacera components only when you configure all the selected configurations correctly.

A specific configuration is set correctly when you see a sign, , on it. A configuration with a sign, , implies that a property has an empty value.

Import/Export#

You can move or share an existing PM UI configuration by exporting/importing the configuration entirely or just export/import a service configuration.

  • To import/export an entire configuration, go to Platform and Installation Type on the multi-level stepper, and use the Import/Export button. The configuration gets downloaded in the JSON format.

    Note

    If you're installing Privacera for the first time, the Export button is disabled. It appears only after you've successfully installed all Privacera products and services.

  • To import/export a service configuration, go to the specific service on the multi-level stepper, and use the Import/Export button. The configuration gets downloaded in the JSON format.

Validations#

Validations are a set of commands/checks that are performed before and after the installation of a Privacera component. Run the validations to ensure that all the pre-installation conditions are satisfied and the services post-installation are up and running with expected functionality. At the end of each check, a validation report is generated giving you the results of the check whether it has passed/failed.

Validations in Privacera Manager are divided into the following two parts, where each of them has its own set of commands/checks. Each part is independent and can be called at any time based on whether it's a pre-installation check or post-installation check.

  • Post-Installation Validation
