Managing Services#
Once you have successfully installed the Privacera services, the PM UI allows you to manage the services from its Dashboard.
Installing Services#
You can install a service in an existing environment, where you have already installed and deployed Privacera services. To install a new service, perform the following steps:

On the left navigation of the PM UI Dashboard, click System Settings. The Setup Environment page is displayed.

Do the following:

To install an Access Manager service, click here.

To install a Discovery, click here.

To start the install, go to Install and click Install & Start Services. To learn more on the installation, click here.
Updating Services#
When you update the configuration of a Privacera service by adding/editing a property, you need to run the installation for the changes to take effect. To update a service, perform the following steps:

On the left navigation of the PM UI Dashboard, click on a service. The service configuration page is displayed.

Do the following:

Click Config tab, and edit the existing properties.

Click Custom tab, and add a new property.

To start the install, go to System Settings > Install and click Install & Start Services. To learn more on the installation, click here.
Starting and Stopping Services#
Once you have successfully installed the Privacera services, you can start/stop each service or from the Dashboard.
To start/stop a Privacera service, perform the following steps:

On the left navigation of the PM UI Dashboard, click on a service. The service configuration page is displayed.

Restarting Services#
When the status of a service(s) is displayed in red colour, you can restart the service or restart all the services. To do so, perform the following steps:

On the left navigation of the PM UI Dashboard, click on a service. The service configuration page is displayed.

To restart all the services, click
at the top of the configuration page.

Updating Services vs. Restarting Services#
The following table tries to capture in which conditions you need to update or restart a service.
