Include/Exclude Database and Table in PostgreSQL
Add Database or Table in the Inclusion#
- Go to Privacera portal.
- On the left nav, click Discovery, and then click Data Source.

On the left menu, select PostgreSQL, and then click Include Datasbase or Table.
Resources included for scanning are displayed.

Click Add to add a Database/Table which needs to be scanned and discovered by Discovery module.
Add Database or Table window is displayed.

Enter the following details:

Database Name - Enter the Schema Name in the Database Name field. The database name is already listed in the JDBC connection string.
Example: schema_name

Table Name
Example: table_name, table_name1, table_name2, table_name3

Scan Type
-

Click SAVE.
Add Database or Table in the Exclusion#
- Go to Privacera portal.
- On the left nav, click Discovery, and then click Data Source.

On the left menu, select PostgreSQL, and then click Exclude Datasbase or Table.
Resources excluded from scanning are displayed.

Click Add to add a Database/Table which needs to be excluded for scanning by Discovery module.
Add Exclusion window is displayed.

Enter the following details:

Database Name - Enter the Schema Name in the Database Name field. The database name is already listed in the JDBC connection string.
Example: schema_name

Table Name
Example: table_name, table_name1, table_name2, table_name3

Reason (optional)

Click SAVE.
Schedule Scan Database or Table#
- Go to Privacera portal.
- On the left nav, click Discovery, and then click Data Source.

On the left menu, select PostgreSQL, and then click Schedule Scan Database or Table.
The schedule for resource scanning is displayed.

Click Add to add a schedule to scan database or table.
Schedule Scan window is displayed.

Enter the following details:
- Name - Enter the Schedule Name.
- Schedule Type - Select the frequency of the scan.
- Start Time - Select the day and time to schedule the scan.
- Scan Type - Select the scan type.
- Enable Status toggle button to run the scan.

Click SAVE.
