SSO Troubleshooting - Self-Managed

This guide assists in resolving common issues during SSO login on self-managed deployments, with a focus on user creation conflicts.

Error Code Description Resolution
SAML_DUPLICATE_USER_EMAIL_FOUND This error occurs during SSO login when a user with an email address already associated with another user in the system. The administrator must delete the existing user from Settings → User Management.
ACCESS_MGMT_USER_EMAIL_IN_USE This error occurs when attempting to configure Access Management permissions for a user whose email address is already associated with another user account in the system. The administrator must delete the user from Access Management → Users list.

Resolution Order

When resolving these conflicts, always:

  1. Remove the user from Settings → User Management first

  2. Then remove from Access Management → Users list

  3. Ask the user to attempt SSO login again
