Prerequisites for Ranger Tag-Sync

  • Configuration of the source system (such as Atlas) is required for Ranger Tag-Sync
  • For example,the Kafka endpoint to which Atlas sends its notifications and Zookeeper endpoint needed for Atlas to send the tags to Ranger Admin.
  • Configuration of the tags target i.e Ranger Admin should be running and accessible to Tag-Sync.

Tagsync Source

From this point onwards, Atlas is used as the TagSync source in the documentation. Please ensure that you mention the correct TagSync source if a different source is used.

  • Ranger-TagSync process control is required to be configured in the Privacera Manager platform instance.To learn more about the Ranger TagSync configurations used in Privacera, Please refer to the Configure Ranger TagSync page.
