Steps for Adding a Single Resource for Discovery Scanning¶

1. Navigate to the Discovery Module:

   • Open the Privacera portal.
   • Select the Discovery module from the main menu.

2. Add a New Resource:

   • Click the Add button.

3. Configure Resource Details:

   • Enter the Resource reference formats to add from here

   Important

   For Filesystem (GCS, S3, ALDS), you can add the resource in above formats provided above in the Resource field.

   For JDBC, You need to add the database_or_schema in the Database_Name field and the Table in the Table_Name field.

4. Set Scan Parameters:

   • Define the Scan Type (e.g.Scan or Incremental).

5. Review and Save:

   • Review the configured settings.
   • Click the Save button to add the resource for scanning.

6. Initiate Scan:

   • Once the resource has been added, you can manually initiate a scan by clicking the SCAN RESOURCE button.

7. Monitor Scan Progress:

   • Monitor the scan progress in the Scan Status section.
   • Once the scan is complete, review the results by navigating through either the Scan ID or Resource.

By following these steps, you can successfully add a single resource for discovery scanning in Privacera.
